Welcome to my first post on this adventure! I am not sure what this will look like in a year’s time, but I am excited to begin this journey with you.
For years, I have been going on adventures with my little (and not-as-little) ones. We love local adventures, and we love traveling for bigger far-away adventures.
This all came about when I was in undergrad, and my Aunt moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. She called me and said that if I paid for my flights, I could stay with her for free anytime I liked. OF COURSE every spring break from that point on until I was married was spent exploring with her. I hope I still have photos (boy, digital cameras have come a long way since 2008) of those early trips.
Fast-forward, and my youngest little explorer has already been on three trips that required airplane travel with me. The other two were little during the pandemic, so no flying for them. But they love machines so when we recently took them to Disney World, they had a blast on the flights alone.
That being said, I often find myself building activities and crafts for them, and thought I should create a space to share ideas, videos, and plans.
And I have to tell you – I’m not one of those moms who has to have everything perfect. NOPE, you will not get that from me. I believe in honest motherhood – hard days, bad days, good days. It all matters. Hopefully you’ll read my sense oh humor in many of these posts, and enjoy coming along for our next adventure(s) with us.
P.S. – one final thing that I am serious about when it comes to my family, is that I won’t be sharing many, if any, photos of their faces here or on social media. Some side profiles if you’re lucky, but a LOT of the back of their heads. Enjoy~
